Vision:

One of the best ways to get involved and expand your network is through committees. We work together to solve problems and impact change in our community from advocating business policies to events and so much more!
Awards:

The Austin LGBT Chamber Education Fund, a 501c(3) organization,  awards scholarships to LGBTQ and allied students who exhibit leadership potential, strong academic abilities, and involvement in school and community organizations. We are committed to ongoing funding of our undergraduate scholars. Every scholar who has met certain criteria is eligible for up to four years of undergraduate scholarship funding. This commitment to our scholars’ success and eventual graduation helps support our future leaders in a way that few programs are able to do. We ask our donors to consider also making ongoing commitments to help sustain the continuing support that is so vital to the success of our mission.

Committees

One of the best ways to get involved and expand your network is through committees. We work together to solve problems and impact change in our community from advocating business policies to events and so much more! Learn more here.
Advocacy and Public Policy Committee:

This committee researches ordinances, regulations, and propositions at the local, state, and national levels that will impact the LGBTQ business community.
 Ambassador Committee:

Ambassadors are Austin LGBT Chamber Members committed to welcoming new members and strengthening the bonds of membership! They attend orientations, ribbon cuttings, and mixers. Our Ambassadors let people know about our programs and resources, and act as mentors for new members, reaching out to the new member, personally inviting them to any upcoming events, and introducing them to other members.
Health & Wellness Committee:

This committee will map out strategies to convene healthcare providers to impact the health and wellness of LGBT Austin. We focus on employee wellness and healthcare advocacy at the local, state, and federal levels. We act as a resource and neutral forum for the entire community, both patients and providers, through advocacy, education, and connections.
Employee Resource Committee:

The Chamber acts as a convener of existing and new ERG groups to provide a forum for education and awareness supporting the professional growth of LGBT  individuals by fostering a safe environment within their companies/businesses for individuals to be authentic in the workplace.
Supplier Diversity Committee:

Formally the LGBTBE Committee, this group is directed with increasing programming and growth in the numbers of certified LGBT Business Enterprise businesses through education of resources and value while delivering more training vital for certified businesses. This committee will also review ALGBTCC’s sponsorship structure, identifying potential new corporate partners.
